Who We Are – We are a California public charter school. Our teachers are credentialed professionals with years of experience. They are committed to educational success for all LFCS students. Our teachers are actively involved in decision-making and school governance, and each of them takes part in professional growth activities on a regular basis. They are highly creative and innovative individuals who recognize that parents have a choice in the education of their children — and they’re “crazy” about our kids!
Who We Serve – Serving students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, Literacy First Charter Schools is dedicated to helping children become literate, life-long learners and responsible citizens. Our children are a reflection of our community. At Literacy First students learn what good character requires. Technology and life skills, along with opportunities for community service are all part of the routine of an LFCS student. Opportunities to develop critical decision-making skills, along with collaborative team building is part of the the balanced education that students at Literacy First Charter Schools will consistently receive.
Literacy First Charter School (K-8)
Our Programs Include – Research-driven techniques in the best interest of children. A strong literacy focus including reading, writing, and speaking. Literature-based, hands-on projects. A longer school day and longer school year. Arts, technology, music, and physical education programs. We provide practical life skills applications in a traditional values environment. Who We Serve – Liberty Charter High School is dedicated to helping every 9th – 12th grade student graduate as a literate citizen, self-directed learner, effective communicator, values-conscious thinker, and responsible community leader. Personally invested in the success of each individual, our staff facilitates the learning of all students through a rigorous academic program, explicit character development, and extracurricular activities.
Who We Are – We are a California public high school that serves to move students at Literacy First Charter Schools, and San Diego County on to high school graduation and beyond. At Liberty Charter High School, we value parents as an integral part of the team as we maintain a safe environment where every student is known, develops strong character, grows academically, and graduates with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in college, career, and life after college. Providing a traditional and comprehensive high school experience to a small student body, Liberty Charter High School offers students the unique experience of a broad range of curricular and extracurricular opportunities within and intimate setting that maximizes accountability.
